Project: FAO-Funded Branch Shredder Procurement for UNDP Moldova

Rapanelli Procurement a Rapanelli International Division and Brand successfully completed an international contract with FAO – Head Office in Hungary for the supply of a branch shredder destined for UNDP in Moldova.

Selected as the successful contractor for the agreement, Rapanelli coordinated the full operation, from identifying and procuring the equipment in Moldova to working with local partners, overseeing quality control, and managing the related contractual and operational documentation. The project was completed with final delivery in Orhei, Moldova.

The challenge

International procurement projects require more than sourcing the right equipment. They demand coordination across multiple stakeholders, strong control over documentation, and the ability to execute reliably in line with institutional standards.

In this case, the project required the successful management of:

  • equipment identification and procurement in Moldova
  • coordination with local partners
  • machinery quality control
  • full contractual and operational documentation
  • compliant final delivery to the beneficiary

These are exactly the types of operational requirements described in the attached case material.

Rapanelli’s role

Rapanelli International acted as the central coordinating partner throughout the project.

Its role included:

  • identifying and procuring the required equipment
  • coordinating with local stakeholders
  • ensuring the machinery met quality expectations
  • managing the documentation needed for proper execution
  • supporting the process through to final delivery

The attached material explicitly positions Rapanelli as the company responsible for coordinating the entire operation and ensuring compliance with the standards required by FAO and the final beneficiary.

The outcome

The project was successfully completed with delivery to Orhei, Moldova, further reinforcing Rapanelli International’s ability to manage international supply operations and support institutional partners in development projects.

This project also strengthens Rapanelli’s credibility as a partner for international organizations operating in agricultural development and international cooperation.

Why this project matters

For institutional buyers, procurement is not just about product availability. It is about reliability, process control, documentation, and the ability to reduce delivery risk.

That is consistent with Rapanelli’s broader procurement positioning, which is built around technical competence, logistics capability, and credibility with international organizations. The wider project materials also show that case studies are meant to function as proof assets for buyers who perform due diligence before engaging.
